Marley Jones is a filmmaker, aspiring actor, and a film and television production student at the illustrious Howard University – The Mecca. Marley established her interest as a filmmaker at the Las Vegas Academy of the Arts where she majored in film. But, it was her experience with Black Girls Film Camp 2024 Teen Director’s Cohort that really solidified her relationship with both sides of the camera! Her 2024 BGFC produced short film, “Stank Face,” won the Best Original Story award and was an Official Selection at the Micheaux Film Festival (2024).
Music, fashion, art and social justice is the foundation for Marley’s creativity and storytelling. It is through this lens that she hopes to bring unique and untold stories to the forefront. Marley believes that creativity and collaboration are pivotal to increasing inclusion and belonging–while maximizing equity and diversity in all aspects of the entertainment industry.
Recently, Marley made her directorial music video debut for hip-hop artist Saint Nera’s latest drop “November Freestyle,” (2026). Marley’s debut documentary short, “A Day in D.C.” which covered the U.S. 2024 Presidential Election Day and the unsettling events that occurred while the country waited for the votes to be counted.
